Last year (2011-12) Plus Two results from JYOTHIRGAMAYA Project implemented Schools (12 institution) got Tremendous Result 

ie. Annual average pass outs raised to 60-75 percent instead of 25-40 percent! in many schools.

Second meeting of Farmers at Kollengode:

FIRST MEETING WITH Forest officials, led by Aashrayam Leaders.
Deputy Range officer, Mr. Harilal, Forester Mr. Sathyan and another 5 forest staff, Aashrayam President, S.Guruvayurappan, Secretary P.Aravindakshan, Farmers Leaders Mr. Udayan, Gosh etc led the meeting to 'break the Ice' between forest officials and villagers.

Third meeting with Forest Divisional Officer, and Range officer will be held in a Week's time to make a future plan for better relation among farmers and forest!

Three day Workshop for 'Asha Workers' under Koduvayur section conducted between Sept6-7-8
The venue was kOLLENGOD bLOCK dEVELOPMENT oFFICE, KOLLENGODE, Palakkad, Kerala

Mental health improvement programs were taught and got trained for 30 ASHA workers.
The training session was led by Miss. Shini of NIMHANS Institute, Banglore - (is also executive member of Aashrayam)

Parasseri village of Kollengode Forest range in Nemmara Forest division was selected for PRA Practices,.
In the valley of Nelliampathy, Students could bring a clear picture of the village and the absolute information for Microplanning process of Parasseri VSS- vana samrakshana samithi.

Aashrayam and Team led the program with Good Accommodation in Elavencheri itself.

Visit to Original "Tharavadu" of former Minister Mr. Sasi Tharur Was wonderful experience.

Trekking in the forest with forest officials was a great experience - according to the participants.
